Digitalization can help SMEs secure competitiveness and employment in the long term. To encourage companies to start digital projects, federal states, the federal government and the European Union offer a range of funding programs.
North Rhine-Westphalia (MID Digitalization)
The program supports companies in digitally developing products, services and production processes. Funding is generally between 5,000 and 15,000 euros and applications are submitted digitally.
Lower Saxony (Digitalbonus)
Digitalbonus.Niedersachsen supports SMEs investing in innovative hardware, software and IT security projects.
Baden-Wuerttemberg (Digitalization Premium Plus)
The program supports medium-sized companies with digitalization projects, including more efficient processes, new products, services and business models.

The Digitalbonus supports small companies in Bavaria with digital products, processes, services and IT security.

The previous program was limited until 15 November 2024. New programs can be added once available.

Hesse supports companies in digitally transforming production and work processes and improving IT security.
